IP Virtual Central / Auto Attendant
It is a virtual telephone exchange that directs incoming calls through an interactive voice system (IVR) in which:
- The user is guided by predefined recordings.
- Directs incoming calls based on user-given instructions using digit entry (DTMFs).
- The use listens to his options and the corresponding interaction for said option
- Once the user generates an interaction, it generates an action that can be definitive (send the call to an extension) or send it to another menu with more options.
- Each menu has its own set of instructions, options, recordings, and actions.
- When the user does not enter any of the expected options or exceeds the waiting time then the contingency options are executed (repeat message, send to operator, send to general voicemail among others)
